New activisms to support just transitions

Seminari
14:30 - 16:15
SalaBorsa

Explores links between new activisms and transitions, with direct experience and analysis of organizational forms, modes of mobilization, and attitudes toward alliance building.

Globally, every traditional form of participation appears to be in crisis. At the same time, new forms of mobilization and activism are increasingly making themselves felt in many areas. These movements differ in their modes of action, from digital to the public square, and themes, from ecological movements to human rights, but share the goal of spurring immediate and concrete action in the face of crises that require urgent responses. Many questions and themes gravitate around the role of new activisms as drivers of transitions: what are the models and methods of activation? How important is it to include, so that these mobilizations can acquire as inclusive a form as possible? And again, what makes one mobilization more efĂ» cable than others? What are the relationships with public and digital space? And what are the alliances needed to foster more just change?
